“I can’t seem to put into words how much I appreciate Texas Rose Concierge Nurse and all that Rose does. Going into the IVF process was incredibly intimidating and with a huge fear of injections, I was wavering on whether I could even go through with it. I did three days of self-injections myself, but every day got more and more difficult. I would ruminate over it all day, and it still took me three hours of fear, stress, and lots of crying to do two injections, and ended up with a huge ice burn from over preparation. Knowing that I would need to take Cetrotide, which was much more time-sensitive, my partner and I decided it would be best to allow a professional to take over. We got the recommendation for Rose from our fertility center and she was very responsive and luckily for us, available to come that evening. When she arrived, I was immediately struck by how warm and calm she was. Almost right after, I was impressed by her wealth of knowledge and experience in the field. I bombarded her with questions about IVF, similar experiences, and almost everything under the sun, and she always provides such informative responses. She even checked in on that ice burn, and prioritized its healing by avoiding injections in the area. She is so flexible in her approach with her patients, giving me time to ice the area (appropriately, not to the point of another ice burn), asking about preferences in sitting up or laying down, and even the speed of administration. She is truly so considerate!

There was a part of me that felt a bit shameful for needing a nurse when so many people can give themselves shots, but now I can’t imagine being able to get through IVF without her. She dispelled almost all the fears that I had of doing something wrong, the pain I was worried about, or how I should be feeling afterward. She only takes about 10 minutes too (vs. the hours I was taking, and the full day of stress leading up to self-administering). With Rose, my anxiety has been minimized to just being a little scared of the pinch. Knowing that Rose has everything handled genuinely freed up my entire day from ruminating of the upcoming injections.
